Shots fired in Hephzibah argument

 

 

One man was wounded and another arrested after shots were fired during an argument in Hephzibah on Saturday.

Police were called to the 900 block of Caldwell Drive just before midnight and found Darius Lester, 30, of Caldwell Drive, with a gunshot wound to the leg, according to a news release.

Lester was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center for treatment.

Investigators were told that Lester and Harry Crowell, 24, also of Caldwell Drive, were arguing and that Crowell pulled a gun and fired, the release said.

Crowell was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and criminal damage to property in the first degree, according to the release.
