An Augusta man is facing drug charges after police discovered methamphetamine and marijuana at his Debbie Drive home.
Police received a tip from a Department of Family and Child Services employee that drugs were being sold and stored at a home in the 600 block of Debbie Drive, according to Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Calvin Chew.
Naun Padilla, 34, who lived at the home told police he had about 3 ounces of crystal methamphetamine there and consented to a search of the residence.
Police recovered 1,336.6 grams of methamphetamine, 10 grams of marijuana and two firearms in Padilla’s bedroom. Padilla claimed ownership of the items.
He has been charged with felony counts of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and a misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. He was also wanted in Taliaferro County on outstanding drug warrants.
