Adult children of slain woman remain hospitalized

The adult children of a woman who was shot to death Tuesday remained hospitalized Wednesday.

Mario Crumbley, 33, was in critical condition, police said, and Dekrizia Crumbley, 27, was in serious condition.

They and their mother, Linda Crumbley, 57, were shot Tuesday at their home on Biltmore Place off Meadowbrook Drive.

Steve Lawrence Allen, 52, of Springhill Church Road in Blythe, was charged in the shootings after being captured Tuesday about 100 miles from Augusta in the parking lot of a Toombs County Wal-Mart. Police throughout the state searched for Allen for nearly five hours before he was found in Vidalia, Ga.

Richmond County sheriff’s investigators have not revealed a motive in Tuesday’s shootings.
