Target shoplifter cuts himself, leaves trail of blood in store

Police learned of a shoplifting attempt at Target after employees discovered a bloody trail leading through the store Tuesday.

According to an incident report, employees found blood in the electronics section of the store on Robert C. Daniel Jr. Parkway about 11 a.m.

Security cameras showed a shoplifter cut himself with a tool while trying to open merchandise. The man was white, with brown hair.

Employees found an abandoned shopping cart in another part of the store with merchandise stained by the man’s blood. The merchandise included a bag, body lotion, a cellphone, a power source, perfume bottles, an MP3 player and a shirt.
