Police continue to search for a suspect in Tuesday’s attempted armed robbery at GNC on Bobby Jones Expressway.

Kenyana Walker, 25, of the 1100 block of Hephzibah McBean Road, faces charges of armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Brendan Allen Gray Jr., 23, of Hephzibah, was arrested after he ran from investigators into the woods behind his Hephzibah home Wednesday. Gray has been charged with armed robbery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, obstruction of a law enforcement officer and possession of marijuana.

Police said the two armed suspects entered the store about 9 p.m. Tuesday. Police and members of the fire department searched the shopping center roof and attic, where they were believed to be hiding, but did not find anyone.

Walker was sentenced in 2004 to 10 years in prison followed by 10 years on probation for her role in a string of crimes. According to Augusta Chronicle archives, Walker, who was pregnant at the time, was the getaway driver for her boyfriend, Brian Moss, in a series of armed carjackings and robberies.

Anyone with information on Walker’s whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (706) 821-1020.
