Three teens are facing charges after police discovered them Monday at the rear of a home on Storey Drive next to a pile of guns.

Police were called to the home in the 3000 block of Storey Drive about 10 a.m. for a burglary and discovered the teens near the wood line next to “a pile of long guns and rifles,” according to an incident report.

The officer drew his weapon and told the teens to get to the ground, but all ran away.

After being chased, the suspects were caught. One was found hiding under a trailer on Sibley Road.

Michael Alonzo Cooper, 17, of Gordon Highway, was booked into the Richmond County jail on charges of first-degree burglary. Two juvenile suspects, 15 and 16, also were charged.

The stolen items include three 12-gauge shotguns, a 20-gauge shotgun, a .22-caliber pistol, a pellet rifle, a .50-caliber muzzleloader, boxes of bullets and a welding machine.
