Couple arrested on narcotics charges after traffic stop

A nurse at Charles B. Webster Detention Center and her husband were arrested on felony narcotics charges Wednesday after a traffic stop.

According to a news release, Roxann Gebhart, 39, and Steven Gebhart, 31, were stopped in the 4000 block of Windsor Spring Road about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday by Richmond County narcotics officers, who found illegal drugs in the vehicle.

A concealed bag of methadone was found on Roxann Gebhart, according to the release. Deputies also found drugs and drug paraphernalia during a search of their residence in the 4000 block of Windsor Spring Road.

Steven Gebhart was charged with possession with intent to sell methamphetamines and marijuana, possession of methadone, four counts of methamphetamine sales and sales of oxycodone and marijuana,.

Roxann Gebhart, who worked for Correct Care Solutions providing nursing services at the jail, was charged with possession of methadone, according to the release from Lt. Calvin J. Chew.
