Police are looking for a woman who witnessed a shooting at an Olive Road convenience store Friday afternoon.
A black man in his 20s entered the Pak-N-Go in the 1600 block of Olive Road about 2:30 p.m. and shot Richard Mills, 19, of the 2000 block of Jordan Drive, at least three times in the legs and chest, Richmond County sheriff’s Lt. Blaise Dresser said in an e-mail.
Mills was taken to the Medical College of Georgia Hospital, where he was rushed into surgery. His condition was not available Friday night.
Dresser said police are asking for the public’s help in identifying the witness and the shooter.
Sgt. Jason Vinson said it was clear the shooter had targeted Mills because other people in the store were not harmed.
The gunman was wearing dark pants and a charcoal gray sweatshirt with the hood pulled over his head. Police were able to get video from the store’s surveillance cameras.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s office at (706) 821-1080.
