Warrenville man shot in robbery

A man was shot in Warrenville on Thursday morning, according to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office.

Ishmal Nuriden, 28, of Brownview Drive, was found about 4:30 a.m. by deputies inside his home with three gunshot wounds, the department said in a news release. He was taken to Medical College of Georgia Hospital.

Aiken County Sheriff’s Capt. Troy Elwell said Nuriden was in the intensive care unit Thursday night. He was shot in the upper torso, side and hip area, he said.

A person of interest has been identified, police said.
