Fire investigators suspect that a Tuesday morning fire at an apartment complex off Highland Avenue was the result of arson.
Firefighters were called to Building 6 of the Magnolia Park apartment complex on Vandivere Road about 4:45 a.m. after neighbors reported seeing smoke.
Lt. Neal Brown said firefighters arrived at the scene to find the front door to the vacant apartment unsecured. Investigators located several points of origin for the fire in the apartment, which had no utilities connected at the time of the blaze.
Samples have been submitted to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for analysis.
Brown said no families were displaced as a result of the fire.
