Suspect still sought after bust last week

Richmond County investigators continue to search for a resident of a Hephzibah house where multiple stolen vehicles and drugs were discovered last week.

Authorities responded to the 1500 block of Keron Way Thursday after receiving a tip on stolen vehicles.

Investigator Billy Dixon said he discovered two stolen motorcycles and a stolen Dodge Truck in the front yard of the residence and called for backup after the people inside the trailer refused to answer the door.

A man finally emerged from the home with his hands above his head. Six others were discovered inside.

Inside the home, Dixon discovered another stolen motorcycle as well as drugs and remnants of a meth lab. A stolen Dodge van was also discovered in the back yard.

Four of the occupants of the home were charged and booked into the Richmond County Jail.

Rex Stewart, 29, and Heather Reynolds, 23, were charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Larry Norton was charged with theft by receiving. Michael Christopher Dore Jr., 33, was charged with possession of a Schedule 4 narcotic.

Authorities have active warrants for three counts of theft by receiving out for the residence’s primary occupant, Raymond Pinson.

The house has been condemned following an inspection by code enforcement, Dixon said.
