Generator, liquor stolen from Augusta business

A generator was stolen from an Augusta business sometime between Sunday afternoon and noon Tuesday.

According to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office report, Clifford Alfonza Norman of Norman Truck and Trailer, 3325 Perkins Road, reported that someone broke into his red-and-silver 2008 Lark United Trailer with a yellow-and-black sledgehammer that was left at the scene.

Deputies saw damage to the side of the trailer that was consistent with hits from a sledgehammer.

Along with the generator, the burglar also stole four bottles of Crown Royal whiskey, two bottles of vodka, two bottles of Bacardi run and one bottle of Hpnotiq, and some grilling tools.

Officers found footprints at the scene.
