Thieves wanted after theft at Augusta business

An Augusta business is searching for answers after more than $1,000 worth of equipment was stolen Wednesday.

Officials with Augusta Paintball, located in the 1800 block of Barton Chapel Road, told Richmond County deputies that unknown thieves took three generators – valued at $1,150 – from a shipping container in front of their business. No surveillance cameras were pointed toward the container, but investigators noticed tire tracks leading to where the equipment was located. According to an incident report, store employees installed more surveillance cameras after noticing the theft.

The investigation is ongoing. The suspects are wanted on charges of felony theft from a yard, the report stated.
