Aiken County deputies arrested a 32-year-old woman Wednesday on charges of first-degree burglary and grand larceny.
Kelly Lynn Pyle, of Windsor, S.C., is accused of committing the burglary in the early hours of Dec. 15, on the 1700 block of Dibble Road in Aiken, according to a statement from Aiken Department of Public Safety Lt. Jake Mahoney.
Investigators have charged Pyle with entering a closed garage and taking more than $10,000 worth of tools, chain saws, golf clubs and saddles. Pyle is also accused of stealing the unidentified victim’s 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. The vehicle was later recovered, Mahoney said.
Pyle is not believed to have acted alone in this burglary, and is a suspect in several additional burglaries in the Kalmia Hills area. Investigators are awaiting laboratory reports that might identify additional suspects, according to Mahoney.
Anyone with information regarding the unsolved Kalmia Hills burglaries can contact the Aiken Department of Public Safety at (803) 642-7620.
Pyle is being held in the Aiken County Detention Center.
