A wheelchair-bound Lincolnton man has been charged with shoplifting after being accused of trying to steal more than $200 worth of cards used for online gaming.
A loss prevention employee at Wal-Mart, 3338 Wrightsboro Road, told police Tyler Epps, 21, took 22 packs of Magic game cards and concealed them in his jacket and chair and attempted to leave the store.
Police said Epps has already been banned from two other Wal-Mart stores and is on probation for shoplifting from the store in Evans.
He was taken to the Richmond County jail on charges of shoplifting.
Epps was paralyzed at age 16 in 2009 after a vehicle he was a passenger in flipped on Ray Owens Road in Columbia County.
