Second suspect arrested in Aiken shooting


An Aiken shooting suspect is in custody, police said Monday.


According to a release from the Aiken Department of Public Safety, Devontay Ka­seem Gordon is being held at the Aiken County Detention Center on a charge of attempted murder in a shooting on Colleton Avenue last Wednesday.

Gordon surrendered at the detention center Monday morning, police said.

Anthony Oak­man, 35, was found in front of Col­le­ton Court Apart­ments with gunshot wounds after shots were fired about 10:35 p.m. Wednesday. He was taken to Georgia Regents Medical Center, and hospital officials would not release his condition Monday.

Latoya Denise Edwards was charged last week with attempted murder in the case, according to the public safety department.
