North Augusta home invasion reported

Two armed men forced their way into a North Augusta apartment Tuesday evening, demanding marijuana and money, according to an incident report.

A victim told authorities the men, wearing bandanas and armed with pistols, pushed their way in after he answered knocks at his door in the 1100 block of Weston Street about 10:30 p.m.

Two people in the apartment's den were hit on the head several times and were made to lie on the floor while the assailants made their demands. Although he said he didn't have any marijuana, one victim handed over his pants and wallet.

The apartment owner's 18-year-old daughter said the robbers also kicked in the door of the bathroom where she had been hiding and led her out with the other victims by gunpoint, police said. The intruders took money, a wallet and car keys before leaving, police said.
