The newest Goodwill Job Connection will open at the Kroc Center on Tuesday, according to a news release from Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA.
The office will be at the Kroc Center’s First Stop Family Service Center at 1833 Broad St., a facility that offers social service assistance ranging from housing to child care.
“By partnering with the Kroc Center, we hope to provide our comprehensive range of career services to more clients than ever before,” said James Stiff, the president and CEO of the local Goodwill Industries.
The grand opening will be at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, with Charlie Knox, a Goodwill Industries board member, as guest speaker.
This will be Goodwill’s fourth Job Connection in the area, with offices on Furys Ferry and Peach Orchard roads in Augusta and on Pine Log Road in Aiken.
The Kroc Center office is the first satellite Job Connection without an adjacent retail center.
The Job Connection offers services including computers for education and career development use, career counseling and enrichment workshops, résumé development assistance, pre-screening and referral of qualified job applicants, on-site-employee recruitment, job postings and career fairs.
