Eggs stolen from Augusta business

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is searching for an unknown suspect accused of stealing eight cases of eggs Thursday from an area business.

Approximately 8:42 a.m., deputies responded to PET Dairy at 1805 Gordon Highway in reference to missing property, according to an incident report.

PET Dairy assistant manager Michael Manley told deputies the cases of eggs and an aluminum hand truck were stolen. According to the report, one deputy noticed a fence surrounding the rear of the business was damaged and allowed the suspect to enter and exit the property.
