Overstreet appointed to administrative judge post

The Augusta-Richmond County Judicial Circuit’s chief judge has been elected to a two-year term as the administrative judge of the Tenth Judicial Administrative District.

As administrative judge, Superior Court Judge Carlisle Overstreet will guide the regional court administration program with direction from its council. Some of the administrative judge’s tasks include assigning judges within the district to settle election contents, district budget management and overseeing long range planning for the six judicial circuits that make up the district.

Overstreet’s term begins July 1.
