3 teens held in Harrisburg home invasion

Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a home invasion and shooting in Harrisburg Sunday morning.

Richmond County sheriff’s Sgt. Dan Carrier said a 14-year-old and two 15-year-olds entered a home in the 1700 block of Jenkins Street with a handgun and asked the residents to “give it up.”

The teens fled without taking anything but fired a shot at the residence as they left.

No one was injured.

The teens, who have not been named, were charged with criminal attempt armed robbery, theft by receiving, burglary, aggravated assault, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
