Slain Richmond County Sheriff’s Deputy J.D. Paugh’s name will be unveiled as an addition to the Georgia Police Memorial Wall on Wednesday at Augusta Exchange.
Paugh was shot to death while checking on a suspicious vehicle on the side of Bobby Jones Expressway in October.
The Wall is a traveling tribute to law enforcement officers in the state killed in the line of duty since 1752. It is maintained and transported by the Blue Knights Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.
It will be at the Augusta Exchange north parking lot next to the Carolina Ale House at 4 p.m. and will stay for around one hour. The public is welcome.
