Man arrested after car stolen

A suspect in a car theft fled a stolen vehicle after a Saturday- night chase, but was later caught lying in his front yard and sweating heavily, a Richmond County sheriff’s report shows.

The car was discovered stolen from Augusta Deliverance Church around 11 p.m., then spotted by another deputy on patrol around 3 a.m. Sunday near Olive Road, a report states.

Four men bailed out of the stolen car when it stopped at a church on the 1600 block of Olive Road. One of them, Xavier Frails, 22, identified as the front passenger, was found in front of his house on the 1700 block of Cornell Drive and arrested on a disorderly conduct charge.
