On The Move

Augusta-based Morris Communications has announced several executive staffing moves.


On Tuesday, Jeffrey Hartley was announced as the new vice president of consumer revenue for Morris Publishing Group.

Hartley, who has 33 years of experience in the industry, was previously the vice president of circulation.

Paul McManaman, the former sales and operations manager, was promoted to circulation director for The Augusta Chronicle.

McManaman is a 24-year veteran of the newspaper industry.

On Friday, Ashlee Duren became the marketing director for TAC Media, which publishes The Augusta Chronicle, augustachronicle.com, augusta.com and numerous other area print and digital outlets.

Duren will begin her new duties Feb. 1. She replaces Lisa Dorn, who is now the director of advertising for Augusta Magazine.

Work experience: She was previously vice president and business development officer. She has 30 years of experience in banking.



New job title: Vice president, credit administration

Employer: Georgia Bank & Trust

Work experience: She was previously assistant vice president, credit administration. She has 18 years of experience in banking.



New job title: Banking officer and office manager

Employer: Southern Bank & Trust

Work experience: She was previously an office manager. She has 12 years of experience in banking.


New job title: Director of marketing

Employer: TAC Media

Work experience: She was previously the corporate director of events for Morris Communications and the editor of Skirt! magazine in Augusta, Columbia and Charlotte, N.C. She is also a former reporter for The Augusta Chronicle.

Education: Bachelor of arts in English, University of Georgia.



New job title: Multimedia chief

Employer: The Augusta Chronicle

Work experience: He was previously a photographer for Journal Communications. He worked for The Chronicle from 1998 to 2002, having been promoted to photography director. During his career, he also worked for the Athens Daily News, The State and Athens Banner-Herald.

Education: Bachelor of arts, North Carolina State University; master of arts, Ohio University



New job title: Assistant vice president and office manager

Employer: Georgia Bank & Trust

Work experience: He was previously banking officer and office manager. He has 10 years of experience in banking.



New job title: Senior vice president, construction lending

Employer: Georgia Bank & Trust

Work experience: He was previously vice president, construction lending. He has 15 years of experience in lending.


New job title: Director of circulation

Employer: The Augusta Chronicle

Work experience: He was previously the sales and operations manager. He also served as the retail sales manager for The St. Petersburg Times and single copy manager for The Greenville News. During his 24 years in newspapers, he has also worked for Times Publishing Co. and Gannet.

Education: Bachelor of science in business administration, LeMoyne College

Employer: Blanchard & Calhoun Commer­cial

Work experience: She was previously accounting clerk.



New job title: Associate executive director

Employer: LifeLink of Georgia

Work experience: He was previously administrative director of cardiovascular and transplant services at Georgia Regents University Medical Center.

Employer: Prudential Beazley Real Estate

Work experience: She was previously administrative assistant to the director of environmental services at Savannah River Nuclear Solutions.
