Sonic Spotlight: Andy Colbert

Andy Colbert (front) is the lead singer of The Mason Jars.

AGE: 25

MEMBER OF: Lead singer of The Mason Jars, 2007-present

FAVORITE CONCERT: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, HiFi Buys Amphitheatre, 2007.

"The best part actually was right in the middle of the show. Stevie Nicks came out ... and sang a few songs with Tom. Then they went into a bunch of the Traveling Wilburys songs that they used to play. ... We snuck our way down front and got to stay (for that part of the show) till we got kicked out. That was about the best part of the show, I think."

FAVORITE FOOD: Chili cheese dogs

FAVORITE SHOW: The Red Lion Pub, 2007. "That was a pretty good show. ... We're usually cramped into a corner. ... We finally got a chance to get on an actual stage and stand up and move around and not be so confined."

FAVORITE MOVIE: "I'm a pretty big fan of Pulp Fiction."

WORST SHOW: Somewhere in Augusta, 2007. "Anything that could have gone wrong did. ... It ended up being good, and everybody seemed to enjoy themselves. But I was sweating bullets the whole time."
