THIS IS A RANT for the politicians in Washington, from the president right on down. They can't agree on a budget and they're sending our young people into harm's way. They got their lucrative health care and retirement. They don't care about us anymore, about the working class people or America as a whole. They ought to all be kicked out of office. Every one of them. And we need to start this country over the way the founding fathers meant it to be run. Get rid of these lifetime politicians. Make them go out and get real jobs like the rest of us.
A RAVE TO the man in Grovetown who recently had an article in the newspaper stating that we need to take care of our country first and then see what we can do to help other countries. I know we need to help others and share but we have too many in our own country who are in drastic need.
I WANT TO put a rave for the pharmacists at Kroger of Martinez for always being so kind, understanding and patient in taking the time to talk to all the customers about their medicine.
THIS IS NOT a rant or a rave. I'd like to know, the old Gurley's on Walton Way, if someone could open up an IGA. That would be so wonderful.
WHILE THE CHRONICLE generally does far better than average as a newspaper, occasionally they stumble. April 12's edition wasted seven paragraphs of news space on a "story" about an actor who lost a comic book. Who on Earth cares?
THIS IS A RAVE for Vernon Thomas and Bill Morris, the Columbia County candidates for a commission seat. They did an outstanding job with no mud slinging, which is a rarity nowadays in politics. Either man would've done this county a good job. I'm proud of the way they've performed.
A BIG RAVE for the manager of Toys "R" Us on Wrightsboro Road. She solved a very disappointed little boy's problem and made his grandparents' day!
NO, RANTER, OBAMA does not aim to turn America into a third-world nation. Maybe the ones doing that are the godless, greedy, amoral Ayn-Randian "objectivists" who have easily-manipulated congressmen in their pockets. They're the ones who would love to shut down the government.
