Aiken woman needs help

An Aiken woman who was robbed during a home invasion lost her savings.

"I had just saved up enough money to move into another place ...," she writes, "but that was taken along with clothes and food, and what they didn't take, they tried to destroy.

"I would appreciate anything you could do to help me and my grands. I have three I take care of."

The Augusta Chronicle Empty Stocking Fund has helped people facing challenges for 79 years.

Last year, the charity raised a record-breaking $124,000 that helped children and families across the region.
