The U.S. Postal Service will implement another price increase on 1-ounce first-class stamps from 42 to 44 cents starting May 11. Augusta-area postal officials say they'll implement an early "reminder blitz" to customers on the increase this week. Forever stamps can be purchased at the current rate of 42 cents and will be adequate for first-class mail after the price increase takes effect.
