The Aiken Housing Authority is looking for college-age people to oversee its summer food program.
The pay is modest -- about $383 every two weeks -- but the workers will earn another $1,000 for their education if they complete the program.
The deadline to apply is Friday, said Nikia Carter, the summer food coordinator for the housing authority.
So far, four people have applied for the six positions available.
The jobs are being filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Those hired will oversee the 60 food sites the housing authority runs every summer to provide food to school-age children.
Anyone interested may apply either by calling Ivory Mathews at (803) 649-6673 or by visiting the housing authority's Web site at www.aikenhousing.org.
