TO THE PERSON WHO thinks religion should stay out of schools: I agree, and let me tell you that you are not alone. There are a lot of non-Christians and it does not matter if others think we will go to hell. Remember we are non-Christians so that does not worry me. Leave the religion in your homes, your church and your life. Don't bring it into my child's. That is my decision.
WITH THE CITY OF Augusta so broke, why does it make any sense at all to allow the commission to force us to spend millions on a speculative drag strip when we don't have money for adequate law enforcement?
THIS IS A RAVE FOR the 13-year-old junior high student who wrote in concerning the lack of healthful school lunches. The thoughts were very well-written. As a junior high teacher, I am very encouraged when a student takes the initiative to communicate something that can help the community. Good job!
A RANT TO ALL THOSE who turn out the pets they no longer want. A bigger rant to the one who turned out a barely 6-month-old orange tabby kitten. She showed up here, and lo and behold, had kittens on my porch. I certainly hope you can sleep at night.
I DON'T KNOW WHY Columbia County can't keep at least half of the tennis court lights at Patriots Park working.
THIS IS A RANT TO "Let Me See." If my memory is correct, the Democrats were the ones who introduced electronic voting to the voters of Georgia. If what you imply is true, do you really think they would turn their codes to fix elections over to the Republicans? Paranoia to this degree must be a terrible thing to endure.
I HAVE YET TO SEE ANY one of the multimillion-dollar salaried late-night buffoons make it through even one 15-minute monologue without blowing it. This is despite rehearsals, cue cards and TelePrompTers. Yet they want to mock the president's competence and intelligence because of misstatements in unscripted remarks.
TO THE MEDICAID/MEDICARE recipients: I don't mind my tax dollars being used to help the elderly one single bit. I don't mind my tax dollars being used to give medical care to the disabled. I flat out hate my tax dollars being used for people who are too sorry or too lazy to get a job.
SCOTTY, BEAM US UP, there is no intelligent life in Augusta!
THIS IS A RANT to my neighbor with the truck for sale that has been parked on the road in our subdivision. If no one has shown interest in the truck for two months, move the truck and try to find another way to sell it.
