MCG's South Entrance to be closed Monday

Visitors to Medical College of Georgia Hospital might have to find a new way in, at least for a couple of weeks.

The health system announced late Friday afternoon that its South Entrance will be closed for renovation, starting today.

The entrance is expected to open again on Oct. 18. Patients can use the nearby West Entrance to drop off or pick up patients. The right lane in front of the entrance will also be closed for two weeks because of the renovation.

Patients who are treated in the Pain Management or Breast Health clinics, getting an MRI or Gamma Knife treatment, among others, will also be rerouted through the West Entrance.
