Watson-Brown Foundation accepting scholarship applications

The Watson-Brown Foundation Inc. announced Thursday that it is accepting scholarship applications for 2012-13 awards.

The foundation will award 200 scholarships to high school seniors and college undergraduate students. Scholarship awards are $3,000 or $5,000 per year for the student’s first four years of undergraduate studies.

Students must be from one of 16 counties in Georgia or South Carolina, and students may attend any four-year accredited college in the country. Eligible counties in the Augusta area are Burke, Columbia, Glascock, Jefferson, Lincoln, McDuffie, Richmond, Taliaferro, Warren and Wilkes in Georgia; and Aiken, Edgefield and McCormick in South Carolina.
