Thieves charge $100 at McDonald's on stolen cards

Thieves used an Evans woman’s stolen credit cards to buy more than $100 worth of food at McDonald’s, on the way to spending more than $2,500 at Dillard’s, Macy’s and other stores, according to a Richmond County sheriff’s report.

The woman told deputies Tuesday that someone took three credit cards from her purse on June 20 after she left her home and went to Hobby Lobby and her bank.

She said she reported the theft at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and had since discovered how the cards had been used.
