Augusta man stabbed in fight behind store

 

An Augusta man was stabbed during a fight late Saturday night, according to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to call at Medical College of Georgia Hospital at around 11 p.m.

Sheriff’s Lt. Robbie Silas said Corneilus Evans, 26, was being treated for a stab wound. Evans stated that he was in the woods behind the Need More Country Store, 4122 Windsor Spring Road, when he got into a fight.

Evans told police the unknown man stabbed him in the right forearm.
