North Augusta man's vehicle stolen at gunpoint in Augusta, police say

A North Augusta man’s vehicle was stolen at gunpoint around 12:30 a.m. Tuesday, according to a Richmond County Sheriff’s Office report.

Ralph Teddy Greer, of the 400 block of Goldman Street, said he gave a couple he did not know a ride from Club Rehab to Third Street. When he pulled into a driveway to let them out, an unknown black man came outside from the house, pointed a handgun in Greer’s face and ordered him out of the vehicle, the report says.

The suspect also took Greer’s driver’s license out of his wallet along with his cellphone, then drove away in Greer’s 2002 Jeep, deputies said.
