Bachmann to make Aiken visit

GOP presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann will be visiting Aiken for a fundraiser luncheon and rally at 11:30 on Tuesday, July 19.

The Minnesota congresswoman will be hosted by Aiken County Republican Party and the Aiken Tea Party. The venue will be Newberry Hall, located in downtown Aiken. The rally is planned for behind Newberry Hall.

South Carolina is a high priority destination for Republicans seeking the party nomination in the 2012 presidential election, due to its first-in-the-South early primary election. Another GOP contender, former Utah governor Jon Huntsman, visited the Palmetto State this week.

For more information about Bachmann’s appearance, call the Aiken County Republican Party at (803) 648-5626.
