Fry denies guilt in bribery case

The Augusta man accused of offering two county commissioners a bribe pleaded not guilty Friday in Richmond County Superior Court.

David W. Fry, 52, faces two counts of bribery. He was arraigned Friday. His case is assigned to Judge Carl C. Brown Jr.

Fry is accused of offering Mayor Pro Tem Alvin Mason and Commissioner Corey Johnson special privileges if they would support a pending commission vote on the city's attempts to build a trade center downtown.
