Security photo of Friday credit union suspect

The Aiken County Department of Public Safety says it is looking for a man who robbed a business Friday.

The man approached a teller about 9 a.m. at the South Carolina State Credit Union, 210 Beaufort St. N.E., and inquired about opening an account. He said he would return later with the documents needed to open the account, according to a news release. When he returned, he approached the teller and demanded money from the drawer. He then ran from the bank.

The man is described as black, in his 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing an orange hard hat, sunglasses, and a dark shirt with an oversized Polo logo on the chest and a number 2 on the back.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 888-CRIME-SC. Callers will remain anonymous and could receive a cash reward of up to $1,000.
