Have your Masters visitors already exhausted your tour guide skills?
Well, there's a party waiting for you and those good friends who show up every year around the first week of April.
"We have your Masters entertainment," said Kathi Dimmock, the marketing director for the National Science Center and Fort Discovery.
The 2003 Masters Gala promises to be a rocking night Thursday at the Bell Auditorium when Jim Belushi storms the stage. Belushi, a comedian and TV and movie star, will be backed by the Sacred Hearts, the house band from the Los Angeles House of Blues.
Don't worry about having to pull out the cocktail dress and tux.
"Masters casual" is the attire for the night.
For those who aren't sure what that means, Dimmock said, "It's anything you'd wear on the course."
THE BIG TICKET: Those cocktail dresses and casual evening ensembles will come in handy Saturday night if you plan to attend the 2003 Celebrity Gala and Auction at the Marion Hatcher Center.
Picture a night filled with models, celebrities, professional athletes, gourmet food and open bar. You could even end up with authentic Tiger Woods memorabilia, which is being auctioned to benefit Athletes Helping Kids, said Tim Crockett, the event organizer.
For Xbox fanatics, EA Sports will preview its Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 video game and you can try your hand in the virtual golf theater to win the new game.
Who's on the guest list?
Terry Norris, the former WBC super welterweight champion, is scheduled to attend and maybe a golfer or two. Laci Lybrand, Miss United States 2002, also will be there.
If you can't wait until Saturday to meet her, she'll be signing autographs from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Hooters on Washington Road.
