The Rev. Michael Hull was installed as pastor of St. Ignatios Melkite Catholic Church during a visit by the Rev. Nicholas Samra, bishop of the Melkite Catholics, on Sept. 8.
Hull is from Tyler, Texas, and previously served as the pastor of Holy Apostles Antiochian Orthodox Church, pastor of St. Elizabeth Orthodox Church in Mesquite, Texas, and of St. Augustine Orthodox Church in Denver.
He has been married for 40 years to Deborah Hull. They have two children and one grandchild.
10-week Grace Corps training starts Nov. 19
The Institute of Religion and Health will hold its Fall-Winter Grace Corps volunteer training beginning Nov. 19.
The training sessions will meet from 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays for 10 weeks.
Topics include caring for the ill and dying, health and faith matters, pastoral care in the hospital, medical ethics and communication.
The Institute partners with local hospitals, hospices, churches and nonprofit organizations to provide certified volunteers to assist in caring for patients and their families.

Dr. Frank Page will serve as interim pastor at First Baptist Church of North Augusta beginning Sunday.
Page currently serves as president and CEO of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Executive Committee. He previously served as president of the Southern Baptist Convention and pastor of Warren Baptist Church and Taylors First Baptist Church in Taylors, S.C. He has also written several books in the New American Commentary series.
