WHAT: Lauren Tarrant, a promising Clemson University senior from Aiken, was injured in a moped accident in 2002. Her father, Michael Smith Tarrant, recounts the crisis of faith that followed her injury in the 2011 book, The Lame Will Leap. The two share their story at an Aiken church Sunday.

THEIR STORY: The Tarrants hope their talk, and the book, will help others wrestling with faith through difficult circumstances.

“It was a journey of self-discovery,” Michael Smith Tarrant said in a news release. “I was on two journeys – Lauren’s to learn to walk again, and mine to learn to walk with the Lord.”
