Mayor’s Breakfast

This month’s Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast begins at 8 a.m. Tuesday with prayer and a welcome by Mayor Deke Copenhaver at Ascension Lutheran Church, 2860 Wells Drive.

Breakfast follows at 9 a.m. The public is invited to come and pray for the community. For more information, call the Rev. Chuck Hunt at (706) 796-2091 or Bob Garrett at (706) 833-7426.

Computers @ First

Free computer classes are offered at First Baptist Church of Augusta. Upcoming classes include:

• Introduction to Excel on the basics of creating spreadsheets, working with formulas and formatting for presentation purposes; 9 to 11 a.m. Sept. 4 and 11.

• iPad Basics on iPad features, tips and tricks; 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sept. 3 or Sept. 24; Bring a fully charged iPad or iPad Mini.

• Facebook Basics on setting up profiles, privacy information, uploading photos, tagging and finding friends and more; 9:30-11:30 a.m. Sept. 10 and 17.

• Make Your Own Movie on creating movies from 35 mm slides, old photographs or negatives; 10 a.m. to noon Sept. 9, 16 and 23.
