WHAT: Concert organist Nathan Laube performs a solo organ recital benefiting Hope House in Augusta.

WHEN: 3 p.m. Sunday

WHERE: St. John United Methodist Church, 736 Greene St.

THE CONCERT: Laube, a newly appointed member of the organ faculty at The Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester in New York, has performed for audiences across the U.S. and Europe.

THE CAUSE: The local nonprofit Hope House serves as a residential treatment facility for homeless single women, pregnant women and women with children, many who are seeking to regain custody.

COST: Free; an offering will be taken.
