Christmas in America

The Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and the children of St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church, 4921 Columbia Road, Grovetown, present a Christmas play at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Christmas in America tells the story of a young Latino American family celebrating the birth of Jesus. The play includes the Mexican tradition of Las Posadas, the re-enactment of Mary and Joseph looking for a place to stay in Bethlehem. Admission is free. Desserts and hot cocoa will be served after the show. An offering will taken for a family in need.

New Hanukkah song

Rabbi David Sirull has released a new song for Hanukkah, which ends Sunday.

The song Chanukah Means Dedication! describes in less than two minutes how and why the Festival of Lights is celebrated.

Sirull is the rabbi of Adas Yeshurun Synagogue in Augusta.

‘Noah’ auditions

Auditions are open through Dec. 28 for The Story of Noah and his Great Big Gopher Boat, an original musical by Augusta’s Enopion Theatre Company.
