‘A Tramp Abroad’

Josef Patchen will perform A Tramp Abroad, a musical journey through Spain, Germany, Paris and America at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Augusta, 3501 Walton Way Ext.

Patchen is a classically trained pianist and composer who has worked in the Augusta area since 1984. He has been the music director at the Unitarian Universalist Church for more than 20 years.

Carols and art

The Westminster Middle and Upper School choral groups will host a Christmas concert and art display at 7 p.m. Friday at Christ Church Presbyterian, 4201 Southern Pines Drive, Evans. Admission is free.

The performance includes a variety of Christmas carols and choral music from Bach’s Alleluia to the Gospel spiritual, Go Where I Send Thee.

The Masterworks Chorale service of Lessons and Carols begins at 4 p.m. Sunday at St. John’s United Methodist Church, 104 Newberry St. NW, Aiken.

An offering at the free concert benefits Children’s Place.

In addition to the Masterworks Chorale, the Chukker Creek Boys’ Choir, under the direction of Joyce English from the North Augusta High School, will sing. The Masterworks Chorale will also be joined by the Augusta Men’s Chorus.
