The Rev. Dwayne Boudreaux has accepted the post of director of missions for the Augusta Association of Baptist Churches.

Boudreaux is the senior pastor of Chattanooga Valley Baptist Church in Flintstone, Ga.

The executive committee of the association voted late last week to extend a call to Boudreaux, which he accepted, said the Rev. Phillip Winsett, the senior pastor at Martinez Baptist Church and the chairman of the director of missions search committee. Boudreaux starts in mid-August.

The association was founded in Wrens, Ga., in 1949. Today, it has more than 60 member churches and oversees several ministries, including the Broad Street Ministry Center and a campus ministry outreach to Augusta State University students.

Boudreaux has been pastor of five Baptist churches in Louisiana and received master of divinity, bachelor of arts and associate of divinity degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He received his doctorate of theology from Covington Theological Seminary in Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. Learn more about the association at theaugustabaptistassociation.org.
