Trip to Creation Museum

West Acres Baptist Church in Augusta is making a trip to the Creation Mu­seum in northern Ken­tucky.

The annual outing is July 27-29 and costs $120 for adults, $115 for seniors and $110 for children younger than 12. The cost includes travel by bus, hotel and admission to the museum, a 70,000-square-foot facility with exhibits and displays about the creation of the world, Bible characters and the Gospel story.

Outdoor expo, prizes

An outdoor expo focused on hunting, fishing, archery, shooting, taxidermy and off-road recreation will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, at Warren Baptist Church, 3203 Washington Road.

The event, which includes a barbecue dinner, speakers, vendors and other activities, will feature Dr. Jimmy Sites, the host of Spiritual Outdoor Adventures.

Door prizes include a four-passenger E-Z-Go golf car, a Big Green Egg grill and a guided fishing trip from Sasser’s Guide Service.

Batsheva performance

Batsheva will perform in concert at Adas Yeshurun, 935 Johns Road, at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.

The singer-songwriter is known for both her comedy and songs, sung in Ladino, Yiddish, Hebrew and English.
