WHAT: On Good Friday, Christians are invited to carry crosses between four South Augusta churches in the annual Way of the Cross walk.

WHEN: 10 a.m. to noon Friday

WHERE: The walk starts at Burns United Methodist Church, 2372 Lumpkin Road.

THE ROUTE: The 1½-mile walk stops at Ascension Lutheran and Hillcrest Baptist churches before ending at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2607 Lumpkin Road. Transportation will be provided for those unable to make the walk, which is sponsored by the South Augusta Pastors’ Alliance and the Alleluia Community.

AFTER THE WALK: At noon, participants can take part in an optional devotion through the Stations of the Cross.
