Musicians gather once a month for Pick'n and Praise'n, a showcase for singer-songwriters and worship music. Flatland Express performs tonight.

WHAT: The monthly live music event Pick’n and Praise’n will play host to Flatland Express as the featured band tonight.

WHEN: 6 p.m. jam session, followed by an open mic session for musicians. Featured bands go on at 8 p.m.

WHERE: Glenn Hills Baptist Church, 2877 Lumpkin Road

THE MUSIC: Flatland Express is a South Carolina-based bluegrass band. Pick’n and Praise’n features a variety of music, including folk, country, gospel and soft rock, but no heavy metal.

JOIN THE LINEUP: Pick’n and Praise’n is held on the third Saturday of the month. To participate in the open-mic session, call the organizers at least 24 hours before the event.

COST: Free. A meal, desserts and sodas will be available for a donation that goes to the church for the use of the facility.
