WHERE: Saint Paul’s Church, 605 Reynolds St.

THE CONCERT: Included in the concert will be music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Harrison Oxley, Felix Mendelssohn, William Mathias, Gerre Hancock and Charles-Marie Widor, according to Shafer, director of music at the church since 1983.

ABOUT ROSE SUNDAY: Rose Sunday, the fourth Sunday in Lent, receives its name from the traditional rose-colored vestments worn on the day. Around the world it is also known as ‘‘Mothering Sunday” or “Refreshment Sunday,” and is the midpoint in the season of Lent, which culminates in Easter.
